ROB ZOMBIE To Produce Comedy Album
April 30, 2003ROB ZOMBIE is currently working with "House Of 1000 Corpses" star Chris Hardwick on producing Chris's first comedy album, tentatively titled "Blood Pudding". Hardwick, considered to be one of L.A.'s hottest young comics, can be regularly seen tearing it up at such legendary joints as The Comedy Store, The Improv and The Laugh Factory. "Chris is a severely dangerous and deranged man that has found a way to channel all his rage and pain into balls out hilarious, yet sharp edgy comedy that kicks the ass of his wacky competitors", says Zombie.
According to Hardwick, "Blood Pudding" will consist mainly of stand-up and possibly some sketch routines. "It was either that, or my doing 14 or 18 adult contemporary covers, but because all comics want to be rock stars and all musicians want to be funny, and usually neither is pleasing to listen to, Rob agreed to the comedy," Chris quipped. "More details soon, but it should be out later this year. The only word for this kind of thing is 'kick-ass.' Not only am I honored to have Rob's influence on this, but it'll be nice to actually offer a real product, and not just some crappy blank CD-R's with jokey track names written in Sharpie that I make one at a time."
